Comprehensive Piling & Foundation Solutions

Piling, capping beam, and excavation solutions tailored for your project's success — all services delivered to AS 2159-2009.

01 Bored Piers

Bored Piers

Deep reinforced concrete foundation elements drilled to the required founding depth and filled with structural concrete. The standard Melbourne foundation solution for reactive clay sites classified Class M through E under AS 2870-2011. Available 360mm to 900mm diameter, 3 to 20+ metres depth. ASAP Piling are one of Melbourne's leading bored pier operators.

02 Contiguous Piles

Contiguous Piles

A row of closely-spaced bored piles that forms a near-continuous earth retention barrier — the standard Melbourne basement retention method. The contiguous pile wall is installed before excavation begins, providing a protected perimeter. ASAP Piling delivers stability and dependability for residential basements, townhouse developments, and commercial projects.

03 CFA Piles

CFA Piles

Continuous Flight Auger piling — drilling and concreting in a single uninterrupted operation with no open borehole at any stage. Vibration-free and 3 to 5 times faster than conventional bored piling on suitable ground. ASAP Piling operates the MAIT HR75 CFA rig, achieving 15 to 40 linear metres of installed pile per hour.

04 Capping Beams

Capping Beams

A reinforced concrete beam cast along the top of the pile row that connects all pile heads into a single structural element. Required on virtually all contiguous pile wall and sheet pile retention systems. Distributes lateral earth pressure uniformly, provides the connection for basement slabs and anchor systems. Constructed to AS 3600-2018.

05 Excavation

Excavation

Site excavation services for residential and commercial construction across Melbourne. ASAP Piling performs excavation as part of the complete below-ground package — once the retention wall is in place and the capping beam has cured, the basement void is excavated in a staged sequence inside the protected perimeter to the engineer-specified formation level.

06 Machine Rental

Machine Rental

Piling rig hire across Victoria for contractors who need the right equipment — on a wet hire basis (machine with an experienced ASAP Piling operator) or dry hire for operators holding appropriate qualifications. ASAP Piling has operated and maintained MAIT and Caterpillar piling rigs since 2001. Call Nick for daily rates and availability.

07 Permanent and Cased Piles

Permanent & Cased Piles

Structural steel tube that remains in the ground permanently, acting as the outer shell of the pile. Protects the concrete shaft, prevents borehole collapse in soft or loose ground, and provides additional structural capacity in weak soils. Used for very soft clays, loose saturated sands, high groundwater, and marine environments. AS 2159-2009 and AS 4100-2020 compliant.

08 Rock Drilling

Rock Drilling

Specialist percussion drilling for sites where standard rotary auger equipment cannot penetrate hard rock. ASAP Piling uses down-hole hammer (DTH) equipment to drill through Melbourne's Newer Volcanics basalt — common in the inner northern suburbs, western suburbs, and elevated sections of the Mornington Peninsula. Rock socket depths designed by the geotechnical engineer.

09 Sheet Piling

Sheet Piling

Interlocking steel sheet sections installed to form a continuous structural wall for earth retention, water exclusion, or temporary excavation support. Vibratory and press-in (silent) installation methods available. Used for basement construction, cofferdams, retaining walls, and waterfront structures. Steel sections to AS 3678 and wall design to AS 4100-2020.
